Get to know me

My journey into the solar industry began when I met my partner, who comes from a background in the trades. Believing I would thrive in a hands-on career and encouraged me to explore different paths. Out of all the options, I felt a natural pull toward the electrical trade.

Once I committed to pursuing this field, she introduced me to the solar company she worked for—one of the largest family-owned solar companies in the Pacific Northwest. When I went in for my interview over 5 years ago, I had no prior experience with solar energy, physically demanding labor, or even power tools. What I did have was genuine enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and an unwavering willingness to work—no matter the weather or how dirty or difficult the job got.

Although my English skills were limited at the time, I was determined to succeed in any role I was given. Working in a male-dominated industry presented its own set of challenges. I had a lot to learn, and I had to let go of any preconceived ideas in order to find my own path.

Through hard work and perseverance, I became the first woman installer and crew lead at the company—all within my first year. Since then, I’ve become a licensed Renewable Energy Technician through the RE-JATC, and have had the opportunity to get involved in community outreach and help train the next generation of young tradesmen and tradeswomen interested in the LRT program. I’ll soon be taking the next step in my journey by beginning my training to become a licensed Journeyman electrician through the JATC. Over the past five years, I’ve installed and worked on hundreds of solar systems—everything from comp shingle and metal roofs to TPO, tile, and ground mounts. You name it, I’ve probably done it. And if I haven’t, you can count on me to figure it out and get it done right.

Lately, I’ve been taking the next step in my journey by starting my own business. My goal is to bridge a gap I’ve seen in the solar industry—by providing clients with high-quality installations, genuine care, and continued support long after the system is up and running. I believe every customer deserves a solar setup that’s not just well-installed, but well-maintained for the long haul.
